Product Review: NYX Round Lipstick in Fig

I'm back with another NYX Lippie from Pandora's Boxes! 

I've already made a review on the NYX Frappucino, which I stated as a bit of a brownish-nude gloss, and now I'm going to share with you a sweeter shade and a different texture, but from the same collection. So here it is, NYX Round Lipstick in Fig:

GENERAL THOUGHTS

NYX Right Round Lipstick in Fig (Php 200.00 for 0.14oz @ Pandora's Boxes) is a creamy Barbie-pink shade and unlike the NYX Frappucino which is somewhat glossy, NYX Fig is one with a satin-matte finish. The soft pink pigment is fairly suitable for everyday use, but may also be perfect for that sweet dinner date or just a cute party look. There's also this hydrating feel on the lips, making it feel continuously moisturized.

It does not get greasy and sticky like Frap, but it feels dry after a few hours so make sure you always have it with you for retouching purposes. Applying lip balm under it also helps. The color wears off after a good 3-4 hours, and I think the reason why it stays a bit longer than Frap is because it is not as liquidated and creamy as the latter.

 PIGMENTATION  

I personally LOVE this shade! Being naturally young and carefree, I've always been and always will be a child at heart. When I first applied this lipstick and looked into the mirror, I can't help but remember my days as a Barbie-loving little girl. The soft-pink shade matches well with my Barbie-ish morena skin, and I think this would also suit fair complexion well.

 TEXTURE 

I like this satin-matte finish better than the gloss offered by NYX Frap. It looks sweeter and more natural, plus it stays a bit longer and does not smudge as easily as glossy ones.

 LONGEVITY 

Due to its texture, it does not smudge as easily as Frap. Hence, stays a bit longer.

 APPLICATION 

Easy to apply, and the color/pigmentation is build-able.
