Lens Review: Crystal Color Lens in Amethyst Grey

Hello there, sweeties!

It's been a while since I've last published a decent blog post here, and even more so, a product review. I've been really loaded these past few weeks, what with academic requirements, church duties, helping out dad with his projects, assisting my uncle in his new baking & pastry business, and setting up my very own e-shop: Peu de Soleil (check it out! :D).

Soooo yeah, talk about backlog. I have lots of photos yet to be posted and writings yet to be made. One of those overdue articles, is this review. I've received the lens package last October 13 and planned to publish a review seven days after trying it out, but lots of stuff came in my way so I had to delay. I think it's a good thing, though. At least I've already worn the lenses for more or less three weeks, and that gives me more information, yes? So let's head on to the review, shall we? :D

Well, before anything else, I got this Crystal Lens pair from Pandora's Boxes. A pair retails at P450 for Plano or Non-graded pairs, and P500 for Graded ones. The lenses have a shelf life of three years, and  with proper care, may last up to 1 year upon opening. Great deal, right? I see most lenses of the same quality being sold at P600-P1,000 on other e-shops and eye clinics.

THE PACKAGE
This is just really cute. I can't even. Aaaaack! Kawaii :3

Just as always, the package consists of 2 vials of lensesa lens case, and a manual

THE LENS

The vials have the details clearly indicated: the design and grade are written on the cap, while the base curve, lens diameter, and other details are written on the vial's label (which, clearly, I have forgotten to take a photo of. Sorry :/).

THE VERDICT

COLOR/DESIGN: ✿ ✿ ✿
I really love the color grey, especially when it comes to contact lenses. It just looks so classy and sophisticated, plus it accentuates the eyes without going over-the-top (like with red or aqua blue). These lenses are not excluded from that. The design also adds to the sophistication and class, see:

The flourish accents reminds me of princesses and castles. Too bad that doesn't show much when worn. However, the dark and adequately thick outline kinda makes up for it. The outline emphasizes the eyes enough for a doll-eye look, yet not alien-y. I give this pair 3 ✿s for color and design. Not too impressive a design, but the color and the over-all effect still come out nicely.

ENLARGEMENT: ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
With a 15.0mm diameter, the lens enlarges the eyes enough for just a cute, doll-eye effect without looking like you came from Mars. Perfect for Ulzzang, Gyaru, or just everyday look. I absolutely love it.

COMFORT: ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
If there's something I like most about these pair of lens, it is its superb comfort. This is already my third pair from Pandora's Boxes, and they never fail to give my eyes the safety and comfort that they need. It's been a quarter of a year already since I last worn contact lens, but I had no problem wearing these new ones even for the first time. It dries up a little after 4 hours of wearing, but I get to wear it for 6 hours with the help of some eye drops.

OVER-ALL RATING: ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
I totally recommend this for those of you who are opting for graded lens in alternate use with eyeglasses (that's what I do. hihi). As I've mentioned earlier, it's accentuating in a way that's not too disturbing to look at; and still somehow natural-looking.

Circle Lens Review: GEO Super Nudy Grey

Visit: Cookie-Bits.Net Haven't read my GEO Angel Brown Review yet? SEE IT HERE. Visit: Cookie-Bits.Net

Hello there, sweeties!
I'm back with another Circle Lens review!

I received this lovely pair of GEO Super Nudy Grey (XCH - 625) from Ms. Xandra Lauren of Pandora's Boxes as an early gift for my 18th Birthday.

(Thank you again, PB!)

This was the same pair that I used on my 18th Birthday party and a lot of my friends told me that they LOVED it. One of them even asked me to order two pairs (one for her and one for her cousin) so they could wear 'em on their cousin's Debut. Here's a photo of her wearing them:

Now 'nuff with the stories! HAHA :D
Let's head on to the review.

THE LENS
Here's how the lenses look like in the lens case:

THE ACTUAL WEARING

COLOR/DESIGN
Ever since who-knows-when, I've already loved (and loved to have) bluish-grey eyes! I don't know, but it really looks naturally striking to me. I think it's one of the safest eye colors -- can compliment almost any type of complexion.

For this lens, I love how the color somehow transitions from gray to blue on certain lighting conditions. The subtlety of the color makes it appear somewhat natural, which makes it easily wearable, too.  You'd never have to decide much on what outfit to match it with or when to wear it, because you can practically wear it with anything... whenever.

Looks Bluish

COMFORT
As I've said in my previous review, GEO medical lens are really SUPERB when it comes to comfort. Just when you thought you've worn the most comfortable lens ever, GEO gives you something even better. I can say this pair is even more comfortable to wear than the Angel Brown! I believe it's because this one is thinner and has a greater diameter. Greater diameter allows it to 'hug' my pupil much better and the thinner structure makes it softer so it feels like there's nothing there.

GRADE/POWER
Perfectly accurate! Still beats my good ol' eyeglasses. :P

ENLARGEMENT
This pair has a 14.8 mm diameter, so as you can see in the photos, it enlarges the eyes in a cutely doll-eyed way. This pair would be great for gals who loves Gyaru or Ulzzang looks (but I think it's more suited for Ulzzang since it's natural-looking and not too exaggeratedly anime-ish). I've seen other Large circle lenses which are too big and gets kinda scary (makes you look like an alien), but this one is just right. Big pupils for ULTIMATE KAWAII-ness, yet still in moderation for that NATURAL LOOK.

CUSTOMER CARE (for the Lens Shop)
Although this pair was not actually purchased, I've bought several other products from Pandora's Boxes already and I can really vouch for the superb assistance they give their customers. They respond quickly to inquiries, provide the most organized systems, and compensate fairly for mishaps. Two months ago, they gave away FREE NYX Right Round Lipsticks to all their customers as a 'Thank You' gift for their patience in waiting for their orders (the Holidays caused such a 'heavy traffic' for the shipment of the orders). They also stir-up great giveaways and promos for all their customers/fans. Truly in PB, you'll feel you're actually valued not just as a customer, but as a sissy. ;)

THE CONs
The lens are too thin that it could easily get scratches or worse, could easily tear (but you can still prevent this from happening by observing extra caution).
Though I loved the gray-to-blue transition, I think it could be a bit of a disappointment for some who are just aiming for Grey (I've read some reviews which kinda showed dismay on this ground).

FINAL THOUGHTS

This pair is perfect for gals who love to look oh-so-kawaii while still keeping a natural vibe. The size enlarges the eyes enough for a cute doll-eyed look, while the neutral yet eye-brightening gray color keeps it toned-down.

That's all sweeties! I hope you enjoyed this review.
Thanks for visiting and reading!

Circle Lens Review: GEO Angel Brown

This review is already long overdue. I have already been using this pair for roughly 4 months, which is good (I assume) because it means I can give a better review on it. :)

THE PACKAGE
Okay, so let's start off with the packaging. I received this pair from a giveaway from Pandora's Boxes. It comes in a cute little paper-bag made of recycled paper (Love Mother Nature; Use recycled materials!). The package contains 2 vials of lenses (one for the left and one for the right), 1 free lens case, 1 user manual, and authenticity stickers. Pandora's Boxes also gives a free 40ml bottle of DreamEye Solution for first-time buyers. ;)

Here, I'll let you have a look:

In this picture, it came with ads and vouchers because they're part of the prize package I won :D
