NOTW: Carolina Peach

Just recently, I've joined another Caronia promo again, and whaddayaknow, I won... again! I just reeeally love Caronia because it's affordable, it has an ultra wide range of colors, and they always have something fun and exciting for their fans. So whenever I join their promos, I don't really intend on winning. It's just me showing my support for my favorite local nail polish brand. Winning is just a huge bonus. ;)

Here's an instagram photo of the gift pack I won. It includes a cosmetic pouch, Kwik-dry & Cuticle Conditioner, Solvent, Nail Polish remover, Fast-dry Top Coat, Cuticle remover, Cuticle Sanitizer, and 6 nail polish bottles (Platinum, First Crush, Orange Pop, Crystal, Carolina Peach, and Diva).

I'll be making a separate post with swatches for all six colors, but for now let me just show you my new favorite, Carolina Peach. :)

When I opened the gift pack, I was so excited for the nail polish set included, but my ecstasy went down when I saw that most of them were frosted. I'm not really the type who would always wanna sport frosted nails (especially uber bright ones like Orange Pop). The only regular/unfrosted nail polishes were Carolina Peach and First Crush. I already saw how First Crush looks from Momo's nails, so I picked out the rosy brown one.

I LOVE IT!!!
It looks really classy and sophisticated. I felt so lady-like! When you wanna paint your nails but don't wanna go too loud, this is the perfect shade for you. Not too overwhelming a color, but not dull either.

Alors, I think that's all to this post. I'll post the complete swatches soon.
Toodles!

SWEET LITTLE BITS MID-YEAR GIVEAWAY!

Bonjour! Comment allez-vous? :)

Hello, sweeties! If you had been observant enough, you would be aware that on the 11th of July, my blog will be celebrating its 7th month already. For those who know me personally, or at least know my whole name, you would know that '7 'means so much to me since it's mah name! (Fast Fact: My whole name is Marie Paige Seven Bautista ^_^ ). And thus, I decided that my blog's 7th month would be a nice time to conduct my second giveaway! :D

This one's not so bongga, so please don't expect too much. Heehee. But still, I prepared these on my own to show you guys my love and thanks, so I hope you appreciate it. :')

I've been going through a lot of hard times lately but I am very thankful that God has not forsaken me. He gave me a very supportive family and lots of thoughtful friends. They were the ones used by God as instruments to help me focus on the bright side and stay strong. :') In a few weeks, I was able to regain my SUNSHINY SELF (hence the abrupt change of my blog header to Petit Rayon de Soleil meaning "a little ray of sunshine"). And yes, I am so happy that I would like to share some of the "sunshine" with you guys!

So without any further blah, I would like to present to you the prizes*!
* some of the items are my own purchases and some I have won from other giveaways

Caronia Tropical Doll Collection

Hello, sweeties!

If you've been reading my blog lately, you would know that I was chosen as one of the winners in Caronia's May Promotion: Flores de Mayo-inspired nail design contest.

And yes, part of the prize package I got was this Caronia Tropical Doll Collection!
I have been eyeing for Kiwi ever since they published a teaser for the collection, but I dunno why I chose Blueberry to try out first. Here's a photo of my nails wearing Blueberry:

(sorry, I just took this photo a week after I actually applied the polish,
so you can see my nails growing out of the polish already)
Pretty, right? I really like how vibrant and so beachy it looked! And I just couldn't wait for another week, and another week, to be able to blog about Tangerine and Blueberry, so I asked my blogger friends Momo and Aimee of Charmed if I could use their nails as "canvas" for the rest of my Tropical Doll polishes. They gladly agreed! :)

Aimee for Kiwi, Me for Blueberry, and Momo for Tangerine

I just soooooo love the colors! They're vibrant, catchy, and totally brighten up anyone's day! Plus, I think the hues are really made for Tropical gals, because they perfectly suit tropical complexion. Know what I mean? Well, I'm medium-skinned and that's a big factor in my nail color choices. Most often, bright-colored polishes don't suit me well; but these colors impressively do! Really LOVEEEEET! :)

Here are some photos of us enjoying our nails :)

Can you feel the la-la-love? We really love ze coloooooors! Thanks, Caronia! :)

Nails: Flores de Mayo-inspired Nail Design for CARONIA

After my Watermelon Nails, as I was thinking of a new design to paint on my nails, I came across Caronia Philippines' post regarding their May promotion, so I checked it out. This month's promotion requires a Flores de Mayo-inspired Nail Design, and what first came into my mind were yellows and oranges. A few minutes later, I was already painting this. I really find it cute, vibrant, and sunshine-y. Don't you? :) Well, I hope I win! Caronia will pick three (3) winners who will be one of the first to get the Tropical Doll collection plus P1,000-worth of gift certificates from Forever 21! Wish me luck! :)

NOTW: Cupcake Nails

Hello sweeties! Forgive me for being MIA for quite some time; we had internet problems and so my blogging goes away with that. :(

Anyways, this nail post should have been just a week after my Paris-inspired nails, but due to my disconnection from the internet, I wasn't able to post it immediately. I've been dying to make this cupcake nails for quite some time already, and I was really happy when I finally did. :D

So I started off with a Base Coat and Nail Hardener, of course, and then I made pink and light pink stripes on half my nails. Just like this:

When I finished this step, I kinda wanted to forget about the Cupcake Nails and just be good with pink stripes. They're so French-ish!!! :"> I loved how the pink and light pink stripes went together. But since I just painted half my nails, I have to carry on with my original plan. So the next step is to make the frosting. I just applied white acrylic paint over the pink stripes:

And of course, this won't be complete without the "Cherry on Top" so I just dotted the "cupcakes" with my Caronia Brick Red Nail Polish.

And tadaaaaah!
My Cupcake Nails! :D

I like to call it "My Sweet Little Bits" Nails because it somehow resembles my blog logo.
So, what do you think? :)

NOTW: Eiffel Tower Nails

Hello, sweeties!
I know I've been very vocal about my GREAT LOVE for Paris and London. And so I have forever been aching to make Paris and London designs on my nails, too! I've already made a UK-Flag-inspired nail designs about a month ago (see it HERE). About three days ago, I was finally able to make my first Paris-Inspired Nail design (I say this is my first, because I still have a lot of Paris-Inspired Nail Designs in mind). YEY! :D

Here it is:

I started of with my Caronia Marquise frosted nail polish. It was what I used in my NOTW post 2 weeks ago (see it HERE) wherein I settled with its translucency, but this time I applied it in 2-3 coats to achieve a more opaque finish.

Afterwards, I drew the Eiffel Tower (well, I know it doesn't look much like the Eiffel Tower, but you get the point. HAHA) using black acrylic paint.

For my thumb, I painted the word "Paris" :D

Hmm, so what do you guys think? :D

NOTW: Marquise by Caronia

So when I cleaned and cut my nails early this afternoon, I said I'd keep it that way for at least a week or two. No nail polish, no anything. Just clean nails. Well, that was just what I SAID. :))
I still had the urge to paint my nails. However, I didn't feel like flaunting loud nails this week so I chose this translucent frosted polish from Caronia. Just simply, sweetly, princessy, isn't it? :3
