The Godmother

Oh, how swift time flies. It's like it wasn't long ago when I just turned 7, and now I'm 19 and already a legit Godmother to two of my nieces. *sigh* Speaking of which, just recently, I've attended to my uber cute goddaughter's first birthday party (yay!). Her name's Mischa, and she would be blowing her candles every 11th of September. Yep, just a day before my own cake day! Maybe that's why she likes me so much despite not being with her often. Her birthday was actually the first time we met, and I was surprised because she wasn't 'scared' of me like she was with most people. Instead, she gladly came to me whenever I gestured towards her, and she never cried in my arms. Na-ah, never. :D

Her birthday party was held last September 15, at the Magnolia Place in Quezon City. The party theme was Disney, and I really loved it. It was like I was being brought back to my childhood :) Here are some photos taken from the celebration.

Gone were the days when people would enter our classroom to offer us storybooks with nice, colorful drawings and activity pages. I don't know if it's exclusive to us, 90s kids, but no matter what we do, we could never deny that Adarna House Books have been a great part of our childhood. They've been a part of our English-Tagalog learning as they told us stories in bilingual modes; they've inspired us to draw and color as we see those cute kiddie drawings; and most importantly, they've taught us to be polite, honest, and kindhearted little kids.

So when I heard about this Adarna House event from my French10-11 Professor, I told myself that I shouldn't miss the chance! The chance to recollect my childhood, and the chance to at least find some time to read again (college is that bitch, demanding girlfriend which you can't afford breaking up with). The event started yesterday, September 12, and will run until Sunday, September 16 at the SMX Convention Center. Everyday, their booths would be open from roughly 10am-8pm.

For your free tickets, click on the photo below, save the PDF file that will show up (optional), and print as many as you like! :) If that doesn't work, click HERE, look for the download link, click, and print!

I'll be coming there with my French10-11 classmates this Saturday, so if you see me there, don't be shy to say hi. :) Our prof said that Ramon Bautista will be coming on that day, too. So if you wanna see him, LEZZGOOO!

SEE YAAAH! ;)

Much love,

NOTW: Carolina Peach

Just recently, I've joined another Caronia promo again, and whaddayaknow, I won... again! I just reeeally love Caronia because it's affordable, it has an ultra wide range of colors, and they always have something fun and exciting for their fans. So whenever I join their promos, I don't really intend on winning. It's just me showing my support for my favorite local nail polish brand. Winning is just a huge bonus. ;)

Here's an instagram photo of the gift pack I won. It includes a cosmetic pouch, Kwik-dry & Cuticle Conditioner, Solvent, Nail Polish remover, Fast-dry Top Coat, Cuticle remover, Cuticle Sanitizer, and 6 nail polish bottles (Platinum, First Crush, Orange Pop, Crystal, Carolina Peach, and Diva).

I'll be making a separate post with swatches for all six colors, but for now let me just show you my new favorite, Carolina Peach. :)

When I opened the gift pack, I was so excited for the nail polish set included, but my ecstasy went down when I saw that most of them were frosted. I'm not really the type who would always wanna sport frosted nails (especially uber bright ones like Orange Pop). The only regular/unfrosted nail polishes were Carolina Peach and First Crush. I already saw how First Crush looks from Momo's nails, so I picked out the rosy brown one.

I LOVE IT!!!
It looks really classy and sophisticated. I felt so lady-like! When you wanna paint your nails but don't wanna go too loud, this is the perfect shade for you. Not too overwhelming a color, but not dull either.

Alors, I think that's all to this post. I'll post the complete swatches soon.
Toodles!

Je t'embrasse,
